Health Insurance: Know your benefits
Health insurance can be complicated, not only do policies change, payments, co-pays so do the benefits you are entitled to. There is nothing more frustrating than finding out you could have benefited from your health insurance benefits program AFTER you had a need for it. Which is usually too late.
When you are looking for health insurance or checking to see what benefits are offered by your health insurance - it is wise to spend time going through the health insurance policies on offer to check the benefits.
There are some insurance companies who offer "options riders". These allow you to build your benefits based on your needs, this can be a good thing - IF you know what benefits you need, or think you will need in the future.
Bear in mind that if you do change health insurance policies, increase or decrease your benefits of your health insurance policy, insurance companies will expect you to go through a typical underwriting process to ensure there are no preexisting conditions involved. If not the insurance companies would probably end up paying huge claims.
