Individual health insurance companies make it harder to get insurance

Individual health insurance companies in Georgia seem to be tightening up their underwriting.  The process of getting applications approved with health insurance companies in Georgia such as Aetna, Kaiser Permanente, Coventry, Cigna and United Healthcare of Georgia is taking much longer.

There are more and more health insurance companies in GA conducting telephone interviews with the applicants, doing prescription searches to uncover undisclosed medical illnesses and requesting medical records from attending physicians.

Many people believe that if they do not disclose their health conditions on an insurance application, they will never know about it.  Be warned, health insurance companies in GA are smarter than you think.  There are ways they can find about your health conditions and if caught, they can rescind your health coverage retroactively and deny your claims.  Even though it may take a bit longer to get your health insurance coverage approved, it is better to be upfront about your health conditions.
