Georgia Peachcare: Health insurance for our children
Health insurance for kids is one of the must have pieces of insurance. For families who fall below the national poverty line, health insurance for the family may appear to be out of reach. However, there is a comprehensive health care program for uninsured children who live in Georgia. Georgia Peachcare provides low cost health insurance for children under the age of 19 without comprehensive health insurance of their own.
PeachCare for KidsTM is a comprehensive health care program for uninsured children living in Georgia. The health benefits include primary, preventive, specialist, dental care and vision care. PeachCare for KidsTM also covers hospitalization, emergency room services, prescription medications and mental health care. Each child in the program has a Georgia Healthy Families Care Management Organization (CMO) who is responsible for coordinating the child's care.
There is a 1 month wait period for eligible children, but the peace of mind knowing our children are insured is well worth the wait.
