“One of the problems we face is that there are a lot of unknowns for many of the un- and under-insured,” Dr. Mobley said. “For instance, many families with two working parents are unaware that their children may still qualify for state-supported health insurance.”

It is estimated that there are 62% of Georgia's 30,000 school children are classified as economically disadvantaged, but only about 12 percent are enrolled in PeachCare. In Atlanta, GA it is hoped that the 3,000 uninsured children will be enrolled into the Georgia PeachCare Health Insurance Program over the next 2 years.
