Maternity Benefits in Group Insurance Plans & the $10 baby!

Maternity and pregnancy health insurance coverage: one of the most popular benefits of group health insurance in GA.  Most group health insurance policies cover maternity benefits in the same way as the health insurance coverage of an "illness", and without a waiting period.

Other group health insurance plans may have separate co-pays or conditions for your pregnancy or maternity insurance benefits.

It is important to consult your group health insurance benefits booklet, or call your health insurance company for clarification, if you are not sure about your maternity/pregnancy benefits in Georgia Group health plans.

Some group health plans in GA have maternity benefits that allow you to have a baby for as little as $10! They have a zero deductible health plan with a $10 co-pay which applies only for the 1st pre-natal visit. The rest of the pre-natal visits including any ultra sounds and delivery expenses are taken care of by the health insurance company.

Unfortunately, rich maternity benefits with zero deductible and small co-pays are getting rare in GA. These days, most group health plans in Georgia will have some deductibles and co-insurance.
