Group Health Insurance: The best alternative for preexisting health conditions
Individual health insurance in GA for people with preexisting health conditions is almost impossible to get and may be cost-prohibitive if available. So what can you do?
If you are employed in Georgia you may be eligible under your company's group health insurance. The insurance company has to accept everyone within a certain group (they can't pick and choose who they want to insure under this type of cover) regardless of age or infirmity. However, they don't have to make it affordable.
Waiting periods for preexisting conditions may still apply if you have had gaps in your health benefits.
Small businesses (those with at least 2 employees on your payroll, and those two people may be you and your spouse) can still benefit from Group Health Insurance in GA - which can be a bonus if you do have preexisting health conditions. But be aware the rates may still be high. But some insurance is perhaps better than no insurance at all.
