Aetna Makes Changes in Georgia
Small businesses using Aetna for their health insurance needs will be interested to know about their new health insurance plans. Current plans will be modified so that all plans are comparable to one of the new plan designs. Existing customers will be notified of the new options when their health insurance comes up for renewal.
Employers currently with Aetna's health insurance plans will be given 60 days notice of the changes to health insurance plans in GA, so they have time to review all the options.
The new plan information - which can be viewed at - Georgia Plan Guide will be included in the renewal notification package and will be sent prior to the group's renewal date.
The package will include a comparison of the group's current plan to one of the new plan designs. If a group decides to choose the new plan, no further action will be required by the employer. However, if a group wants to consider other cost saving plans, additional plan designs will be available for review.
As the the old plans will no longer be available, employers must decide on one of the new plans - or check to see if another health insurance provider in GA can provide health insurance for their needs.
