Smart choices for employees health insurance with Aetna

Corporate health and wellness plans are not new, in fact they have been used by companies to reduce health care costs, absenteeism as well as improve productivity and morale for years.

They are usually promoted by Human Resources Departments, but in an interesting twist, finance departments are taking note of the bottom line - and not just in how much these programs cost, but how much these are saving the company. In short, corporate health and wellness plans, rather than costing the company money to have in place, are saving the company money.

With the cost of health insurance rising and both employees and employers questioning the expense, it is interesting to find that Aetna is taking a pro-active approach to health care and employee health insurance with its "care management" program.

The care management program is proven to reduce inpatient admissions for diabetes, coronary artery disease and strokes by 26%
