Insurers that are licensed in Georgia, but who have alternative products that are sold in other states, will also be able to sell those policies in Georgia.

The rationale behind the propsed changes to legislation, says that by allowing the purchase of health insurance across state lines will make affordable health insurance more accessible and increase the variety of health plans available to Georgians.
