Moving into Georgia? Check your insurance first
It may seem like a really silly thing to say, especially if you are with a large insurance company and want to move interstate - be it for any reason - work, family, change of lifestyle - but you may want to check to see if you can:
- Move your insurance policy to your new address - some companies, even the big ones may not operate offices in your new state and may not be able to offer you the same insurance policy as the one you had - if they could offer you an insurance policy at all.
- Get health insurance in your new state. If you have a pre-existing condition, which occurred after you took out your personal health insurance policy in your old home state, you may not be eligible for health insurance under a new policy in a new state.
A case of do your homework before you move your home.
