Kaiser Permanente's New Strategic Direction to benefit more Georgian's

Kaiser Permanente's new strategic direction will bring its coordinated care system to customers in Georgia. By Internalizing services and creating strong core hospital relationships, Kaiser Permanente will provide more members with better services and benefits.

The key to Kaiser Permanente's strategic vision will be the creation of new medical centers in the Atlanta metro area.

Kaiser Permanente’s New Network Strategic Direction

The Kaiser Permanente expansion plan will include up to 10 new Medical Centers throughout metro Atlanta and surrounding areas in 2010 and another 8 to 10 in 2011. This will allow the carrier to more than double its number of medical centers from 17 to over 35, supporting the goal of having a medical center within 20 minutes of 100% of members.

Kaiser Permanente also aims to reduce their reliance on outside physicians. Whilst this does mean a change of Physisican for those people currently under the Kaiser Permanete HMO Network or the Multi-Choice Tier 1 Network, by providing more services in-house, Kaiser Permanente aims to provide more coordinated care for its members
