United Health Care and Georgia State health benefits
The health and wellness needs of Georgia's State employees have long been a primary responsibility of United Health Care GA. United Healthcare GA has been appointed by the State of Georgia's Department of Community Health to offer 'UnitedHealthcare' health insurance benefits in 2009 to members of the State Health Benefits Plan (SHBP).
United HealthCare has a long history of providing health insurance benefits to Georgia's public sector employees, teachers, retirees and their families.
“We’re honored to continue our partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Health that began in 2002. In that time we have delivered enrollees with access to cost effective, quality health care,” said Rick Elliott, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Georgia.
United HealthCare's Georgia participants have access to UnitedHealthcare’s national network of more than 560,000 physicians and other care professionals and 4,800 hospitals.
